47 Minutes of silence

Around 100 people gathered to hold 47-minute peace session on the Eve of Malaysia Day at the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.

The 47 minutes resembles 47 years since Malaysia was formed.

The attendees, mainly consisting from the ‘Justice for Beng Hock’ group, protested in silence for 47 minutes before singing tha national anthem at the stroke of Malaysia Day.

The attendees believe that silence is golden and are attempting to send out a message to the government that they will persist in demanding their freedom.
