C. KhorOpposition de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim requested that he not be nominated for the party president’s post, stressing that he has his reasons not to contest and that he has to lead the opposition coalition.
Anwar explains that Wan Azizah has been leading PKR since 1999 and that it will be unfair to undermine her contributions. He will continue as advisor to the party and will strengthen the party from within. He will not contest in the PKR elections.
