Japanese aura brightens Penang

Every year in the month of July, people from all walks of life converged at the Penang Esplanade to celebrate  Bon Odori festival.

Bon Odori this year  kicked off to a wet start. But that did not dampened the spirit of those present. Many were seen holding umbrellas and listening attentively as CM Lim Guan Eng gave his opening speech.

The rain subsided as quickly as it came.

Many programmes were lined up for the evening. The rasa sayang dance as always was the crowd’s favorite. The festival ended with a magnificent display of fireworks which graced the night sky to the ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the excited Penangites.
