Penang Heritage Day 2010

On July 7, 2008, Melaka and Georgetown were declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  

The World Heritage inscription,  validates the outstanding universal values of the two cities,  as places with unique cultural assets.

Starting this year, 2010, the Penang state government have declared July 7 a Penang Heritage Day.  

To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of Georgetown inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the state government have initiated a full day of performances, events and exhibitions,  showcasing its unique multi-cultural heritage and religious diversity.

Citizen journalist, Lim Boo Seng, stumble upon a roti canai making demonstration  at the Masjid Kapitan Keling.  Looking at their skill in making roti canai,  … it is no wonder Penang’s  roti canai taste so good !
