Tan Kai SweeThe dolphins of the Shark Bay World Heritage area are famous for their daily ritual of swimming to shore to interact with humans, and they have been doing this for the past 40 years since 1960’s.
These wild bottlenose dolphins regularly visit the beach, usually in the morning, moving up and down the shoreline within arms reach of the crowd. What’s more — it’s free!
A specially trained ranger controls the interaction session, choosing a few lucky onlookers to handfed the dolphins.
The beach is located at Monkey Mia, a tourist resort, some 800 km north of Perth, Australia.
