World Refugee Day is celebrated this year at the KL Sentral station, main foyer from today June 19 to tomorrow June 20th.
The events surrounding the day starts at 10 am and lasts till 9 pm.
There are close to 90,000 refugees in Malaysia, coming from countries like Myanmar, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka.
Even though many carry the UNHCR refugee, they are often allegedly harassed by enforcement personell like the police and RELA.
Most of the refugees are awaiting resettlement in countries such as the United States.
