Nearly 200,000 eligible voters have yet to register themselves to SPR in Penang according to Adun Air Itam, Wong Hon Wai.
He and his team has been providing free services to register new voters at Far Lim night market weekly.
According to Wong, the response has been very encouraging.
The PR government is beefing up its effort to register new voters in a large scale starting from May 1, 2010 at major shopping complexes in Penang.
