Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng rebutted the comments made by Women Family and Community Development Minister Sharizat Abdul Jalil regarding the Warga Emas RM100 token of appreciation given to 100,000 Penangites who are above 60 years old. Sharizat is reported to have sent her condolences to the senior citizens and said the RM100 is a shameful act. Lim asked Sharizat to apologise to all the senior citizens for her disrespectful remarks and looking down on all the senior citizens.
