The Penang state government appointed a group of officers to go down to the ground to explain the state government’s policies. In BN-controlled Seberang Perai Utara,it was found some residents were unaware of the Warga Emas RM100 appreciation token.
YB Phee Boon Poh accused the opposition parties, ie Gerakan, MCA and Umno of misusing the welfare funds meant for the rakyat and ‘confusing the people’ by making them think the money was from Umno instead of the federal government.
