Assaulted and victimised

On March 23rd, a consultant of a fitness centre was assaulted at the centre she works in. The incident took place when an outlet manager from another branch visited the centre for a meeting.

Apparently the manager was not happy with the fact that she wasn’t wearing the centre’s uniform and took objection to the consultant’s answer as to why she wasn’t.

After the assault, she approached her employer, the Labour Department and the police to seek justice. However she did not receive any assistance from them.

A few days after the assault, the employer had asked the victim to put the matter to rest as they considered the incident a personal problem between the manager and her.

However  the employer had issued a warning letter to the assailant and instructed her to personally apologize to the victim.
