A photo exhibition organized by Iran’s Rural Art Group will open at the Cube Gallery in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, Iran’s Mehr News Agency reports.

The exhibit will display a collection of photos depicting artistic aspects of rural life in Iran, Iranian director of the gallery, Asghar Yaqubi said.

The Rural Art Group was established by a number of artists in Qa’emshahr in Mazandaran Province in 2003 with the aim of developing art in Iran’s rural regions.

The group has so far held art festivals in 66 villages and the photos show the residents participating in the events.

Many young artists and students are members of the group, which has organized over 100 exhibitions across Iran.
