Pahang is not expected to experience floods until next month although rain and cloudy skies remain a common occurance in the state.
Pahang Meteorological Department Director Md Kamsan Hamdan said rain until tomorrow is forecasted but there is no concern that it will lead to floods like what was currently experienced by Terengganu.
“There will be rainfall in Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin but the Meteorological Department doesn’t feel that it is enough to cause floods,” he told Bernama here today.
Md Kamsan said flooding in several districts in Pahang was only expected to occur following heavy rain forecasted in December.
“However, we urge the public to prepare for floods early and we will continue to monitor the weather condition,” he said.
He added that the main rivers in Pahang also registered normal levels.
