Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin is scheduled to grace the 12th Malaysian Jamboree at the Telaga Batin Camp in Seberang Takir here on Nov 18.
Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Said said the week-long jamboree would begin on Nov 17 involving over 8,500 local and foreign participants.
“We are proud that Terengganu has been chosen to host the jamboree,” he told reporters after chairing state executive council weekly meeting here today.
He said among the foreign participants were from Hong Kong, Singapore, Nepal, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Various activities had been lined-up for the jamboree including adventurou and extreme sports as well as heritage games.
The closing ceremony will be officiated by Ahmad on Nov 24.
