Body of student killed in Indonesia arrives at KLIA

The body of Malaysian Adrian Jay Pereira, who was killed outside his rented house in Malang, East Java, Indonesia, arrived at KLIA today.

The body of Malaysian Adrian Jay Pereira, who was killed outside his rented house in Malang, East Java, Indonesia, two days ago, arrived at the Advance Cargo Centre (ACC), MAS Kargo at the KL International Airport (KLIA), today.

The body arrived at 2.30pm on board flight MH 870 from Surabaya and was received by family members.

Pereira, 23, a student at the Medical Faculty, Universiti Brawijaya, Malang, was reported to have been stabbed with a sharp weapon in an attempt to prevent a man from stealing his motorcycle.

Among those who accompanied Pereira’s body to his family home at Taman Klang Jaya were representatives from the Higher Education Ministry and the Indonesian Embassy.

A total of 173 Malaysian students are studying in Malang and from that number, 161 are at Universiti Brawijaya.
