Felcra Berhad (Felcra) has allocated RM70 million in dividends for 19,000 participants in Perak which will help improve their lot.
Its chairmanTajuddin Abdul Rahman said the allocation was increased by RM12 million to RM70,000 compared to RM58 million last year.
“The increase is supported by the hike in the price of palm oil and rubber in the global market, which indirectly gives a good return to Felcra and its participants,” he said at a function at the Felcra Serigala Resettlement Scheme, yesterday.
“Felcra makes four dividend payments and the last payment will be made before the new school session starts next year.” he added.
He said the participants would receive between RM3,500 and over RM6,000 each, depending on the size of land and plantation production.
Earlier, Tajuddin handed over the Most Beautiful Felcra Scheme award to Serigala Felcra, with Lekir Felcra coming in second and Seberang Perak Felcra, third. Behrang Changkat Baru Felcra participant Johari Rasikan, 73, was picked as Perak Felcra Merdeka Figure.
