International Islamic University Malaysia (UIA) has given law lecturer Prof Dr Abdul Aziz Bari an opportunity to explain why he disputed the Sultan of Selangor’s stand on the check by the State Islamic Religious Department on a premises belonging to the Damansara Utama Methodist Church.

The IIUM Staff Disciplinary Board secretariat will evaluate whether Abdul Aziz’s statement contravened the university’s rules, said IIUM public relations office in a statement today.
