PETALING JAYA – The menace of illegal posters and stickers in Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley goes unabated despite countless complaints to the local authorities. [VIDEO]

The menace of illegal posters and stickers in Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley goes unabated despite countless complaints to the local authorities.

This is the case at the SS26 commercial area of Taman Mayang Jaya, where phone booths, pedestrian bridges, lamp-posts, road-signs and fuse boxes are defaced by illegal posters, banners and buntings.

Residents and shop owners at SS 26, Taman Mayang Jaya have to deal with this problem and the potential dangers that could crop up as a result of it.

These stickers and posters cover the arrows for one way signs, are plastered across no entry signs, pasted on the stairway gates of shop lots and shutters of shops as well as covering up signs of the street names.

They are an eyesore to the community and still occur despite signs being put up by the residents prohibiting the pasting of stickers.
