Several main roads in the city will be closed to motorists for the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) Open Day 2011 this Saturday.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the RMP announced that roads around Dataran Merdeka will be closed from midnight tomorrow until noon on Saturday.
The roads affected are Jalan Kinabalu/Bukit Aman exit, Jalan Kinabalu/Hishamuddin Roundabout, Jalan Raja/Jalan Hishamuddin, and Jalan Leboh Pasar Besar/Jalan Hishamuddin.
Other roads inaccessible to motorists will be Jalan Leboh Ampang/Jalan Tun Razak, Dato Onn Roundabout/Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Parlimen/Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Leboh Pasar Besar/Jalan Mahkamah Persekutuan and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman/Jalan Raja.
Meanwhile, two-way road closures will be conducted in stages for a bicycle convoy event from 8am to 10am.
The closure will begin at Padang Merbok and affect Jalan Sultan Salehuddin, Dato Onn Roundabout, Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin, Jalan Kinabalu, Sultan Mohamad Roundabout, Jalan Syed Putra, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Mahameru,
Wisma Tani and will end at Jalan Raja (Dataran Merdeka).
