Tasik Pandan Johor Bahru in detestable condition

The Tasik Pandan Recreation Park (Laman Rekreasi Tasik Pandan) is located in Taman Desa Harmoni, near the Ponderosa Golf and Country Club.

Built on 16.3 acres of land, it has a lake which stretches over 10 acres. The park was built with the intentions of providing a recreational space for the young and old alike. 

The park is equipped with outdoor gymnastic equipment, a playground for children and a jogging track.  However, maintenance of the park has been deplorable.

Besides that there is an area for foot reflexology, basketball and badminton courts, a water fountain and lovely canopy walkways.

Sadly, the once beautiful and clean recreation park, it is now dirty and deteriorated. It is also not safe to be in the park after seven in the evening as it is notorious for snatch thefts.

A resident who declined to be named said “if this park was overseas, it would look fantastic”.

Hopefully, the relevant authorities will look into the matter and restore the park to its former beauty.
