The police have received 74 reports against Petknode “pet hotel” in Damansara Damai, for leaving cats to
starve, with 12 of them found dead.
Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar said the reports were lodged by the cat owners who had left their pets at the cat boarding centre.
“Although investigation of the case is conducted by the Veterinary Service Department, the police will give serious attention to the case and appropriate action will be taken against the owner of the ‘Petknode’ shop,” he said in the
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Facebook today.
Khalid also urged those who had taken the cats from the shop, with the intention of saving them, to hand the pets over to the Selangor Veterinary Department or the police so that they could be returned to their owners.
