888 Yee Sang party for good fortune

JOHOR BAHRU – Recently, JB City Square had the 888 Yee Sang Party as part of the Chinese New Year celebration. [VIDEO]

Recently, JB City Square had the 888 Yee Sang Party  as part of the Chinese New Year celebration, jointly sponsored by the complex management and Sakae Sushi.

There were sufficient portions of Yee Sang for 888 participants.

Among the participants are JB City Square tenants, old folks from Spring Valley Home Care, business partners and shoppers.

The highlight is the Dragon Gate ceremony performed by the dragon dance performers.

According to Chinese folklore, dragons are an integral part of the Chinese culture as it symbolizes power, excellence and intelligence.

The significance behind the Dragon Gate is that those who walk beneath this mystical creature, will be blessed with good health, happiness, good fortune and peace in the family.
