A Pakistani carpet seller was stabbed and robbed by a group of youths at a Ramadan bazaar stall in Taman Kerang this morning.
Kuantan deputy district police chief Supt Zulkifli Taha said in the incident believed to have occurred around 1am, Sher Zaman Khan, 30, was sleeping alone in the stall when he was woken by the group including a girl who had forcibly entered his carpet stall.
“They ambushed the victim and stabbed his back before fleeing on motorbikes with RM750 cash and his passport,” he told reporters here today.
According to him, the victim was sent to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital where his condition was reported to be stable.
Police believed 10 culprits including three girls were involved in the robbery.
