Prayers for Waytha’s solo hunger strike

Penang Hindraf Makkal Sakthi activists and supporters held special prayers at Shree Muniswarar Temple in Jalan Utama, Waterfall for the well-being of Hindraf chairperson P Waythamoorthy and for the success of Hindraf’s struggle.

Since 10th March 2013 Hindraf chairperson P Waythamoorthy is on a solo hunger strike at Arulmigu Agora Veerabathrar Sanggili Karuppar Temple in Kampung Benggali, Rawang

This hunger “Viratham” is also to educate and sensitise the people and those in power about the inherent immorality of the socio-political system of our country in relation to minority communities in the country.

Penang Hindraf activists stated that Waythamoorthy will continue the hunger strike as long as his body can endure and he would be limiting his intake of water during the duration of the hunger strike.

Since the beginning of Waythamoorthy hunger strike, Hindraf supporters throughout the country are holding series of special prayers in temples in Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Johor.
