Police have arrested a man to help the investigation into the murder of a trader in Taman Buntung Ria, Menglembu, yesterday.
Perak CID chief Dzuraidi Ibrahim said the man was arrested at 6pm yesterday at a grocery store in Laluan Sungai Pari 4, Buntung.
The 24-year-old suspect was remanded four days and the case was investigated under Section 302 Penal Code, he said when contacted today.
Dzuraidi said the man was the prime suspect in the murder case togethr with another suspect still at large.
Looi Kim Loong, 67, was found dead at 2:10am yesterday in what was believed to be a robbery at his home in Taman Ria Buntung, Menglembu.
His wife and children who were sleeping in another room heard some noise and on checking found him lying on the floor.
The door was not locked while the victim had stab wound in the neck. The body was sent to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for an autopsy.
Police also found a knife and scissors believed to be used by the assailants.
