Ampang Jaya Police Chief ACP Amiruddin Jamaluddin has confirmed that the bodies discovered on the fifth floor of Block
Chryssa, Astaria Apartments in Taman Kosas, Ampang were that of an adult woman and a boy of six or seven years old.
Amiruddin said a post-mortem of the hacked body confirmed it was that of an adult woman.
“We have the victim’s fingerprints to assist in tracing her identity,” he said.
“The second victim was a boy believed to be six or seven found intact in a plastic bag,” he said in a text message yesterday.
Police were still investigating, recording statements from witnesses and checking missing persons records, he said.
Yesterday police went to the scene after a resident lodged a report on the discovery of a human leg at the balcony of the unoccupied apartment about 2pm.
They discovered human body parts and internal organs in two plastic bags while the intestines and stomach were stuffed into the toilet bowl of the same apartment.
