Johor pharmacists congregate for dialogue

JOHOR BAHRU – 300 pharmacists from various districts of Johor participated in a dialogue with the State Pharmacy Services and Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS) recently. [VIDEO]

300 pharmacists from various districts of Johor participated in a dialogue with the State Pharmacy Services and Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS).

This is a bi-annual meeting to facilitate the smooth operation of pharmacy services in the state of Johor.

During this dialogue, there was an election of the chairman and executive committee of the Johor Chapter of MPS.

The newly elected chairperson Lee Ching Yan, 36, is attached to the traditional and complementary medicine division of the Johor Health Department.

Andrew Tan, the treasurer and head of membership Chapter of MPS, who represented the President of MPS in this dialogue meeting stressed the importance of professionalism and continuing education for the pharmacists.

The dialogue session ended with two Continuing Medical Education (CME) with talks on “Gastrointestinal microflora” and “New Guidelines in Hypertension Management”.
