Motorists using the KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) can continue to use the highway managed by Kuala Lumpur Selangor Expressways Bhd (KLSEB) without paying toll until Aug 31, 2011.
KLSEB chief executive officer, Amran Amir, said families in the townships served by the highway should take advantage of the toll-free experience to enjoy the Ramadan “berbuka puasa” meal with families and plan ahead their “balik kampung” holiday travels using the expressway.
“To add to the spirit of Ramadan, the company will also give out dates and mineral water for motorists between 6pm and 7pm daily,” he said in a statement today.
The 33km highway, built at a cost of RM958 million, links Kuala Selangor, Assam Jawa, Ijok, Bestari Jaya, Kota Puteri, Puncak Alam, Shah Alam, Bukit Jelutong, Sungai Buloh, Kundang, Rawang, Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur.
