S R Nathan: Greater harmony needed in interaction between faiths

SINGAPORE – The former Singapore president S R Nathan who was the guest of honour, said in his speech said that interaction between faiths need to be harmonized.

People should strive to harmonize with the different cultures, heritages and faiths that is drawn from different traditions and imperfections, said former Singapore president, S R Nathan in his speech during the 8th Global Conference on Buddhism in Singapore, recently.

The  Conference on Buddhism, with the theme “In the World of Rapid Change“, was held at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See (KMSPKS) from 6 – 7 July 2013  with 1,300 participants taking part in the largest gathering of its kind this year.

The Conference was organised by the Buddhist Fellowship and Buddhist Congress of Singapore, and supported by 5 other local organisations.
