Maintenance work by Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) on June 22 will disrupt water supply to several areas in Hulu Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Langat.
Syabas corporate affairs executive director Abdul Halem Mat Som said the disruption was due to closure of Bernam River Headworks treatment plant for cleaning of the Pucak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd retention pond.
The disruption from 7pm-5am would affect Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor and Sabak Bernam district especially Panchang Bedena, Sungai Panjang, Sabak, Bagan Nakhoda Omar and Pasir Panjang.
Hulu Langat areas affected by disruption (9am-5pm) were Taman Puncak Utama, Taman Putra Budiman, Balakong Jaya, Impian Indah, Desa Karunmas, Taman Harmoni, Taman Seri Timah, Taman Tanming 1 and 2, Taman Juara Jaya, Taman Bukit Belimbing, Taman Bukit Emas, Industri Selesa Jaya, Industri Balakong Jaya, Taman Sungai Besi Indah 1,2 and 3, Mines Resort and Jalan Dagang.
Abdul Halem said this was due to replacement of O-Ring VJC at the junction to the water treatment at Batu 11 Cheras, Balakong.
Closure of Sungai Dusun treatment plant on June 29 (7am-3pm) would affect Felda Sungai Dusun in Hulu Selangor.
