Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Lotus’s Malaysia) and Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) concluded their successful MyDebit Syiokkk Raya contest, bringing smiles to thousands of festive shoppers across the country. The contest, held from 13 February to 30 April 2025, formed a central part of Lotus’s annual ‘Senyuman Paling Bernilai’ Ramadan-Raya campaign, rewarding customers while encouraging safer, cashless transactions.
Casual shopper Maizatul Akma Mazlan and My Lotus’s member Kwong Joon @ Kong Joon emerged as the lucky grand prize winners, each driving home a brand-new Proton S70 Premium valued at RM80,000. Notably, Kwong Joon made an impressive 324 shopping trips during the two-month campaign, reflecting his strong support and enthusiasm for the initiative.
The campaign, open to customers spending a minimum of RM100 using their MyDebit cards at Lotus’s outlets, attracted over 26,500 qualifying transactions. In total, 2,622 shoppers across Malaysia walked away with prizes worth more than RM470,000. The prize pool included RM500 Duit Raya for 120 monthly winners and RM100 Lotus’s e-vouchers for 2,500 weekly winners.
Strengthening cashless habits
Nuathip Pituckpongsatorn, Lotus’s Malaysia’s Customer and Marketing Executive Director, expressed pride in the campaign’s success, particularly its role in boosting digital payment adoption.
“It’s amazing to see how a collaboration like the MyDebit Syiokkk Raya contest has brought festive cheer and helped drive our overall cashless payments among our customers to over 60%. The integration of DuitNow QR since November 2024 continues to enhance our cashless payment ecosystem and drive digital transformation in our stores,” said Nuathip.
She further noted that shoppers have increasingly embraced digital payments for their convenience and security, a trend that aligns with Lotus’s long-term vision for seamless customer experiences.
A strategic push
Beyond the feel-good moments and valuable rewards, the MyDebit Syiokkk Raya contest played a crucial role in advancing Malaysia’s digitalisation agenda. It marked the seventh joint campaign between PayNet and Lotus’s since March 2022, all aimed at promoting safe, convenient, and inclusive payment methods.
“The success of the MyDebit Syiokkk Raya campaign marks the seventh campaign we have collaborated on with Lotus’s since March 2022, contributing over 30% in cash conversion over the past 3 years. This demonstrates the positive momentum of the shift toward a cashless society in Malaysia,” said Azrul Fakhzan Mainor, PayNet’s Senior Director of Commercial.
He added that partnerships like this not only incentivise digital adoption but also help shift consumer behaviour toward long-term digital transaction habits.
Partnership to grow further
At a celebratory handing-over ceremony held at Lotus’s Head Office in Kepong earlier today, both grand prize winners received their car keys in the presence of company representatives and campaign stakeholders. The event marked more than just a prize-giving moment—it was a testament to the success of a nationwide push toward financial inclusivity and digital transformation.
PayNet reaffirmed its strategic partnership with Lotus’s Malaysia through to 2026. According to Azrul, efforts will be intensified to expand digital payment touchpoints and channels across Lotus’s outlets nationwide. This includes the strengthening of both MyDebit and DuitNow QR systems.
“We are proud to partner with Lotus’s Malaysia in building a safer, faster, and more inclusive payment ecosystem. PayNet has reaffirmed our strategic partnership with Lotus’s through to 2026, to further accelerate digital payment adoption,” Azrul said.
