i-City theme park reopens with safety in mind

The Free Passes promotion would enable patrons to visit and enjoy the attractions for a second time

SnoWalk – one of i-City’s main attractions is ready to welcome visitors back.

i-City theme park in Shah Alam will be reopening on March 5, 2021 with new measures under new normal for heightened safety and a Free Passes promotion to help draw crowds.

This follows the government’s recent announcement on the relaxation of the movement control order (MCO) in Selangor with more economic activities including theme parks being allowed to resume operations.

In a statement, the theme park operator said safety guidelines will be enforced upon patrons and employees alike in addition to heightened cleaning and sanitization of its facilities.

“We are excited that theme parks can reopen after almost a year of fluctuating business operations due to the pandemic. Despite this, the safety and hygiene of our facilities were never put in the back burner. With the continuation of business, i-City has amplified efforts to ensure that precautionary measures are in place to welcome patrons back to our theme park,” said Tang Soke Cheng, head of Leisure of I-Berhad, developer of the i-City Golden Triangle.

Temperature screenings will also be conducted and those with body temperatures beyond the average will not be allowed into the theme park.

Hand sanitizers will be provided at multiple locations and mandatory use of masks will also be enforced.
