AdminThe search for the next Miss Universe Malaysia has begun, with the competition officially launching on February 18 at the St Regis Kuala Lumpur. The Miss Universe Organization co-launched the event with Just Capella Sdn. Bhd, the Miss Universe Malaysia beauty pageant’s new licensee.
“The Miss Universe Malaysia brand is set to be boosted to a higher level qualitatively, through the injection of fresh blood, creativity and innovation into the latest pageant. Just Capella will also be introducing new processes throughout all activities and judging, to ensure integrity, transparency, honesty and fairness,” says Just Capella CEO, Dato Westin Chew.
Miss Universe Malaysia is an annual national beauty pageant that selects Malaysia’s representative to the annual Miss Universe contest.
During the Miss Universe Malaysia launch, the Miss Universe Organization unveiled their brand new Miss Universe Jet. This jet will transport Miss Universe titleholders all over the world in safety, privacy, and comfort.
“We are thrilled to be appointed by JKN Global Group, the owner of Miss Universe Organization, to manage the Miss Universe pageant in Malaysia,” said Datin Wira Poppy Capella, National Director of Miss Universe Malaysia.
“The Miss Universe organization is committed to empowering women and promoting diversity, and we share a vision to create an incredible impact through Miss Universe Malaysia 2023.” Capella added.
A platform to empower women
The Miss Universe Malaysia pageant, according to Capella, is a platform that empowers women to make positive changes in their personal, professional, and philanthropic lives. This enables them to be role models for their communities and fans while also allowing them to stand and shine on their own for the rest of their lives.
“We are excited to launch the Miss Universe Malaysia and provide young women with an opportunity to showcase their talents and be a role model for future generations.”

The preliminary rounds of Miss Universe Malaysia will include swimwear, evening gown, and interview competitions. The winner of the pageant will represent Malaysia at the Miss Universe competition, where she will compete against contestants from all over the world for the coveted Miss Universe title.
