To commemorate George Town being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site on 7 July 2008, a special festival will be held in Georgetown.
Over 80 programs will be held to promote arts and heritage in Penang. It is jointly organised by the Penang state government, Penang municipal council, George Town World Heritage Inc, Penang Global Tourism and various Penang communities.
