More than 20,000 Hindus are expected to attend the consecration ceremony of over a century old Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Malaysia, which is being reconstructed at a whopping cost of Rs 4 crores.
Temple chairman A Sevaguru said preparations were being undertaken to ensure the temple would be ready by May 23. He said work on the temple building started in 2003, with the clearing of the land followed by its construction proper in 2006.
