Rohto-Mentholatum marks 135th anniversary with RM135,000 donation to 10 Malaysian charity homes, supporting children, elderly, and vulnerable communities.

In celebration of its 135th anniversary, Rohto-Mentholatum (M) Sdn Bhd, in partnership with Watsons Malaysia, made a significant impact by donating RM135,000 to 10 charity homes across Malaysia. This donation is part of the company’s ongoing ‘Sending Love & Care’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign, an initiative that embodies its commitment to serving communities in need. The funds were raised through sales of selected Rohto-Mentholatum products at Watsons stores nationwide in October 2024, with the proceeds allocated for essential supplies for the chosen homes.

Extended outreach to charity homes nationwide

The 10 charity homes benefiting from this campaign care for over 1,000 residents, encompassing children’s homes, women’s shelters, elderly care centers, and welfare organizations. Among the recipients are Rumah Hope and SHELTER in Petaling Jaya, Rumah KIDS in Subang Jaya, Rumah Aman in Sungai Buloh, and Rumah Kita in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Pusat Jagaan Al-Fikrah Malaysia in Kajang, which serves elderly residents. Additionally, welfare centers such as Ti-Ratana Welfare Society, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah, and Rumah Charis in Kuala Lumpur received crucial aid.

In addition to the monetary donation, Rohto-Mentholatum employees made visits to these homes, engaging in activities aimed at uplifting spirits and fostering meaningful connections. “Our time with the residents reminded us that while monetary support is critical, personal connection and care are just as vital. We hope that through this initiative, we were able to bring smiles and create a meaningful impact in their lives,” Lim added, highlighting the company’s holistic approach to social outreach.
