Malaysia secures championship titles at Robothon 2024

Malaysia clinches 3 championships and 15 prizes at Robothon 2024, showcasing its STEM innovation and ASEAN collaboration efforts.

Malaysia clinches three championship titles and securing 15 prizes overall at the 19th International Robothon Competition 2024. The event, held at the Sea Complex Convention & Community Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, showcased Malaysia’s growing commitment to STEM education and innovation.

Organized by Malaysia-based Eduspec Holdings Berhad and supported by ASEAN education ministries, the competition served as a platform to highlight regional collaboration in advancing Industry 5.0 technologies.

Malaysia’s young innovators stood out among the 142 teams from Southeast Asia, bringing home three Champions, four First Runner-up awards, three Second Runner-up awards, 3 Distinction Prizes, 2 Excellence Prizes. Their achievements underscore the nation’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

Driving Innovation Through Leanbot and Pythaverse

A pivotal factor in Malaysia’s success was the Leanbot robotics platform, which powered many of the competition’s standout projects. Supported by the Pythaverse Digital Twin Learning Platform, Leanbot enabled participants to simulate real-world industrial challenges and develop cutting-edge solutions. This approach aligns with the competition’s theme, “Digital Nexus: Industry 5.0,” which focuses on the integration of AI, robotics, and digital twin technologies in solving practical problems.
