Third REDLINE Fitness Games draws over 10,000

Over 10,000 turned up for REDLINE Fitness Games 2025, a high-energy event that tested endurance, strength, and spirit at MIECC across two days.

The REDLINE Fitness Games by NISSAN made a thunderous return to Malaysia for its third and biggest edition yet on 26 and 27 July 2025, held at the MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC). Organised by Fresh Events Asia and supported by title sponsor NISSAN, the two-day event drew more than 10,000 participants and spectators, making it one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most inclusive fitness competitions.

Positioned at the intersection of athletic performance and communal energy, REDLINE has evolved into a regional movement encouraging people of all fitness levels to test their physical limits. From amateur gym-goers to elite athletes, participants competed in structured Singles, Doubles, and Team Relay formats, with three difficulty levels—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—ensuring broad accessibility.

“Every year, these games are a reminder of the raw grit and spirit of community they ignite,” said Jeff Ross, General Manager of Fresh Events Asia. “REDLINE was never meant to be just another fitness event. It’s about creating a space where anyone can show up, feel welcome, and be part of something bigger.”

Pushing limits in the REDLINE arena

The heart of the event was the REDLINE workout arena—a grueling sequence of 12 workout stations combining strength, cardio, and endurance. Participants were challenged by a 500-metre run, SkiErg, BikeErg, RowErg, sled push and pull, and “The Mule,” a sandbag carry with increasing weights. Additional exercises like deadball burpees, Russian twists, shuttle runs, squat thrusts, and a sandbag gauntlet delivered a balanced yet physically taxing circuit.

This year’s format, while retaining REDLINE’s signature intensity, expanded its scale and inclusivity. The event celebrated the resilience and diversity of participants, encouraging not just competition but personal breakthroughs.

Regional expansion

REDLINE’s growing impact was bolstered by strong backing from partners including NISSAN, MyCEB, Concept2, and various health and wellness exhibitors.

Khoo Cheng Pah, CEO of Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, said the automaker’s continued support reflects its shared values with the fitness event. “At its core, REDLINE is about pushing boundaries. This pursuit of performance mirrors what we at NISSAN strive for. It’s about a shared mindset and vision of going further.”

REDLINE 2025 also received strategic backing from the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia. “This event reflects the kind of dynamic, community-focused experiences that align with our mission to elevate Malaysia as a preferred destination for world-class lifestyle events,” said MyCEB CEO Tan Mei Phing.

Looking ahead, REDLINE’s regional expansion begins in December 2025 with a debut in Bangkok, followed by Vietnam in early 2026.

As the name suggests, “REDLINE” refers to the point of maximum output—whether in a car engine or the human body. In that spirit, this year’s participants were pushed to discover their personal limits in an experience that was physically demanding, emotionally rewarding, and profoundly unifying.
