NavigatorCapital Academy, Quantelya Capital announce partnership

NavigatorCapital Academy and Quantelya Capital partner to explore Alternative Trading Systems, reflecting growing digitalisation in global trading.

NavigatorCapital Academy and Quantelya Capital have announced a strategic partnership aimed at exploring the development of Alternative Trading Systems (ATS), signalling a new phase of collaboration between the two organisations in the trading and fintech space.

The global trading landscape continues to evolve, driven by digitalisation, the expansion of prime brokerage services and greater cross-market connectivity. These developments have reduced friction in international trading and improved operational efficiency for market participants.

For large institutions and enterprises, however, standardised exchanges and mainstream platforms may not always align with specific execution or structural requirements, particularly for sizeable transactions. As a result, Alternative Trading Systems have attracted growing interest as complementary mechanisms to traditional exchanges.

ATS platforms are commonly used to facilitate high-volume trades, offering features such as greater execution flexibility and reduced market visibility. Structures including dark pools, electronic communication networks (ECNs) and fixed-price arrangements are widely referenced within institutional trading frameworks to help manage market impact and execution efficiency.

Focus on OTC connectivity and regional markets

According to the companies, the partnership includes cooperation on an over-the-counter (OTC) trading connectivity initiative developed within applicable regulatory frameworks. The collaboration is intended to improve how institutional participants access trading services through member brokerage systems, subject to regulatory requirements and market conditions.

The initiative forms part of Quantelya Capital’s broader focus on fintech-related applications and capital market solutions. The companies stated that the collaboration aims to provide additional execution options for institutional and high-net-worth participants through structured OTC mechanisms, while prioritising compliance and operational efficiency.

NavigatorCapital Academy and Quantelya Capital also indicated that Malaysia and Singapore are key markets of interest as they continue to develop their cooperation. The partnership is positioned around supporting ongoing digital transformation efforts within capital markets across ASEAN, with further developments expected to be announced in due course.
