GM Klang has launched Port Seni, a new creative and cultural destination aimed at connecting local artists, artisans and creative entrepreneurs with wider audiences while offering visitors a closer look at Klang’s artistic and cultural identity.
Officially launched on 29 August 2026, Port Seni is located at Pavilion 5, Block C, GM Klang, Bandar Botanik, Klang. The new hub brings together a curated Select Shop operated by Api House, a gallery, the Pulau Ketam Art Corner, creative programmes and an upcoming café.
Its inaugural exhibition, Klang Art Harmony, features 61 artworks by 30 Klang artists, showcasing a range of artistic styles and perspectives from the local creative community.

Inspired by Port Klang’s role as a meeting point for trade, culture and journeys, Port Seni extends the concept of a “port” into a space where artistic ideas, creative expression and inspiration can converge.
The initiative was inspired and encouraged by Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling, who recognised the potential for a dedicated destination where visitors could discover locally made products while learning more about Klang and Selangor’s heritage and communities.
Initiative supports GM Klang’s B2B2C evolution
Beyond exhibitions and retail, Port Seni will host interactive workshops, creative demonstrations, themed bazaars and other programmes designed to highlight the people and creative processes behind locally produced works.
For artists, artisans and creative entrepreneurs, the hub provides opportunities to reach new audiences, receive market feedback, explore commercial opportunities and establish potential collaborations.
GM Klang general manager Chloe Tan Siang Hui said Port Seni forms part of the organisation’s broader evolution towards a B2B2C model while retaining its established wholesale foundation.
“GM Klang has long been recognised for its strong B2B wholesale foundation. As business landscapes and consumer lifestyles evolve, we are moving towards a B2B2C approach while continuing to strengthen that foundation,” she said.
Tan added that Port Seni brings art, culture and local creativity into GM Klang’s existing business ecosystem while connecting local talent with wider audiences and markets.
The initiative also aims to contribute to creative tourism in Selangor by giving domestic and international visitors another avenue to experience Klang through its art, craftsmanship, products and cultural stories.
With its combination of creative retail, exhibitions, cultural showcases and community programmes, Port Seni represents GM Klang’s latest effort to expand beyond traditional commerce and create a destination where business, culture, tourism and community intersect.
