Feb 20th, 2011, Penang: Eight Hindraf/HRP activists detained by police from inside a temple compound, were finally released under police bail.
Earlier about 500 supporters protested in front of the Jawi police HQ where they were being held, demanding their release.
The arrests could have been because of their participation in an anti-Interlok forum held at Simpang Ampat.
