Recently, local media featured the drain cleaners from MPPP. The sight of the man in the drain, immersed in mud, decaying rubbish, and worms is not only heart wrenching, it is horrifying.
CJ Lilian asked a fellow videographer for permission to use the photos for this video.
CM Lim Guan Eng informed media that a medallion and cash rewards will be given to these unsung heroes. He has instructed MPPP and MPSP, the two local authorities to identify the staff and a programme for them will be held later.
