Jimmy TanA forum which dissected the recently concluded Bersih rally from various angles of law, media, security and freedom of assembly, entitled “Public forum behind the barricades: A critical analysis of Bersih 3.0”
The discussions in the forum revealed a larger picture of what is unquestionably an important marker in this nation’s history.
Organised by Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) and the Civil Rights Committee (CRC) of the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSACH), the forum took place in the KLSACHÂ auditorium.
The speakers for the forum include Bar Council’s constitutional law committee chair Syahredzan Johan, Suaram executive director E. Nalini, CIJ executive officer Masjaliza Hamzah, educator, activist and participant of the Occupy Dataran movement Boon Kia Meng.
