Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng welcomes Cathay Pacific Airways’ new Boeing 747-8 Freighter this afternoon at the Penang International Airport.
Lim congratulates Cathay Pacific on their first B747-8 flight into Penang and hopes that their services will add more value and help the MNCs as well as local SMEs grow to greater heights.
Commenting on the state of the art aircraft’s arrival in Penang, Cathay Pacific Country Manager, Mandy Wu said, “Cathay Pacific has worked and grown together with the Malaysian market for the past 55 years and cargo is an important part of our business.”
The new Boeing 747-8 Freighter will greatly improve the efficiency and payload of Cathay Pacific’s ultra long haul freighter services, particularly on North America routes, and at the same time reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
