KOTA KINABALU – Lately, children are being groomed for a talentine and many are started off at a young age by their parents and guardians to prance around in their traditional costumes. Here is one such show during the month long harvest festival in Sabah.

The month of May is special for Sabah being a whole month where the Harvest Festival or Kaamatan is celebrated by paddy farmers and non-farmers all over the state.

The grand State celebration held every May 30 and 31 will bring an end to the month-long festivity unique to Sabah.

Among the festival’s attraction is the Harvest Festival Beauty Contest or Kaamatan Unduk Ngadau where maidens vie for votes by putting their talents and charms.
