Patient dies in fire at KL Hospital emergency ward

A fire occurred at the Emergency Ward of Kuala Lumpur Hospital at about midnight last night, resulting in the death of a
patient.

The hospital administration, when contacted, confirmed the incident and said a statement would be issued in the afternoon.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Azizan Ismail, when contacted, said the fire occurred at about midnight.

He said 20 firemen were rushed to the hospital in two trucks from the Chow Kit and Sentul fire and rescue stations.
