The Putrajaya Floria 2012, which was held for nine consecutive days starting from June 30, came to an end on July 8 with Suzhou, China winning the “overall best Flotilla” award in the 1Malaysia International Tourism Night Floral Parade.

A total of 15 floral floats mainly from the various states in Malaysia and 2 international participants, Suzhou from China and Kenya took part in the parade.
According to the Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister, Raja Nong Chik, the 9 day festival had grossed over RM2 million worth of sales of the plant products, accessories and refreshments.
Up to a million visitors have visited the 9 day floral showcase with the theme “Bougainvillea -enduring beauty” which was held at the Putrajaya Lake in Precinct 2. Some 400,000 plants of various species were on exhibition with schools, universities and corporations displaying various landscaping, garden design, flower displays and horticultural presentations.
