Bank employees picket outside ASEAN Banking Conference in KL

KUALA LUMPUR – In protest of abuses of the rights of workers by Malaysian banks, MTUC and NUBE staged a picket outside the 19th ASEAN banking conference held in Sasana Kijang. [VIDEO]

The Malaysia Trade Union Congress (MTUC) and National Union of Bank Employees (Nube) claim that Banks have continued to trample on workers and unions in the country.

In protest of these abuses of the rights of workers and trade unions, members from MTUC and NUBE staged a picket at the Sasana Kijang which is the venue for the 19th ASEAN Banking Conference and the 42nd ASEAN Banking Council Meeting hosted by the Association of Banks in Malaysia. (ABM).

On hand to show solidarity with the picketers were top officials from the MTUC and YB Tian Chua, the Member of Parliament for Batu.
