Glorious sendoff at Morib Beach

To shouts fo “fatt ah”, “fatt ah”, (meaning prosperity) devotees from the Klang Valley gave a glorious sendoff to the Nine Emperor Gods at Morib Beach, some 70 km away from Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya.

The 9th day of the 9th Lunar month (16th Oct 2010) marks the end of the Vegetarian Festival locally called “Kew Ong Yah” meaning Nine Emperor Gods.

A replica ofthe Emperors’ Boat was carried far into the sea and torched marking the return to the Gods to heaven.

Devotees make offerings and release hot air lanterns while praying for health and wealth.
