The Page Advisor app – Southeast Asia’s first real-time mobile platform allowing consumers to easily hire local service providers using a smart phone has finally arrived in Malaysia following its successful May launch in Singapore.
The official launch in Malaysia was held at the InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on July 9, 2015.
The app is the smartest and most convenient way to engage a service provider. With a variety of services in numerous industries to choose from – including aircon technicians, plumbers, electricians, movers, car groomers, photographers, laundromats, balloon sculptors, hairstylists, makeup artists, emcees, house cleaners, piano tuners, courier companies, limousine drivers, and even house-call doctors – to name a few, consumers can identify and hire a service provider in a matter of just three steps and within three minutes.
“We are very excited about bringing these benefits to Malaysian consumers and service providers, and Malaysian smartphone users will now be able to engage a service provider in just three steps and within three minutes,” said Page Advisor’s founder and group CEO, Fabian Lim, who is a Singaporean online entrepreneur and best-selling book author of “Work Anytime, Live Anywhere!”
He went on to say, “Page Advisor is the only product which provides a full loop service: from sourcing, to payment, to dispute resolution. As in Singapore, we believe that Page Advisor will unify the fragmented local services market and consumers will have more than 100 services to choose from in a single app.”
Anyone looking to engage a merchant through the app now just needs to choose from Page Advisor’s list of home and lifestyle services, answers some short questions, and fill in the date and time that they need the job performed.
The details of the job request will be sent through the app to merchants who would be bidding for your job request in real-time.
Users can expect to receive multiple quotes within minutes of submitting their job request, and will be able to review merchant ratings and reviews before accepting a quote and appointing a service provider.
Payment is made in-app by credit card upon confirmation of a job.
To enhance consumer confidence in a service provider, Page Advisor offers a “100% money-back guarantee” assurance under its Merchant Guarantee Programme (MGP) for users who are not satisfied with the service offered by a MGP merchant.
The company has entered into merchant agreements with over 1,500 companies and businesses in Malaysia, and is looking to increase that number as service providers see the benefits of joining a platform, which does not charge any sign-up, directory or bidding fees.
To celebrate its launch, Page Advisor is giving first time users a rebate of up to RM20 on their first transaction through the app, if their job requests are submitted by 31st July 2015.
Service providers are charged a modest platform fee by the company if they complete a job through Page Advisor and if they sign up under the MGP they will be charged a much lower platform fee.
As a launch promotion to encourage service providers to give the service a try, they will not be charged a platform fee for all jobs completed in July.
