The Amitabha Centre, a Buddhist charity organization, is set to organize a grand prayer later this month in Kulai in order to raise for funds for their hemodialysis centre.

Organized by Amitabha Kulai, the grand prayer will take place from April 22 until April 24 at the Little Pratalaka temple in Kulai.

Amitabha Kulai Centre’s officer Jeffrey Lim said that the haemodialysis centre currently has six dialysis machines and has been providing affordable kidney dialysis treatment to the lower income kidney patients for the last seven years without fail.

“Due to the increasing requests for affordable kidney dialysis treatments offered by the centre, we have decided to expand the centre and add another six units of dialysis machines to cater for the patients’ needs,” he said.

He added that each dialysis machine cost about RM44,000.
